Visit of Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs to PT Apparel One Indonesia
On April 9, 2021, Assistant Deputy for Trade Facilities of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Mr. Tatang Yuliono, visited PT Apparel One Indonesia with the Chairman of APKB Mr. Jarot Wibowo and representatives from several factories operating in the Wijayakusuma Industrial Estate.
This visit aimed to review how the implementation of the REX system policy effect for Indonesian exporters that applied in European Union. The Coordinating Ministry for the Economy have the duty to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the independent certification system in the European Union's Registered Exporter Generalized System of Preferences (REX GSP EU) scheme, as well as the Registered Exporter (REX) scheme in ASEAN.
The visit was carried out with a discussion that aims to provide an overview and input from industry to the government for better understanding on how to implement and assist current REX activities. During this visit, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs also conducted a factory tour of PT Apparel One Indonesia which aims to get to know the processes in the garment industry.
